At just 8 weeks old, Scoot's life took a tragic turn when he was accidentally stepped on, robbing him of the use of his back end. Despite the best efforts of his previous owners and two subsequent homes, Scoot's needs proved too much to handle. For nearly 5 months, he had been living in and out of a veterinary clinic, his guardian Angel Amy tirelessly sought help finally turning to social media with the help of a dear friend Nicole, as he deserved more than a small kennel. 

Finally, at 5 months old and 25 pounds, Scoot found refuge with Second Chance Pet Adoptions in Raleigh, NC. He never had wheels or knew how to navigate beyond "scooting," but his spirit remains strong. Second Chance Pet Adoptione, with the support of Riley's Candles, has spared no expense in providing Scoot with the medical care he deserves, from therapy to supplies. However, the bills have mounted, including those for X-rays, Wheelchairs as he’s grown and ongoing medical attention. At 50+ lbs, Scoot is not only scooting around yet can you believe this guy is jumping curbs, chasing balls and preparing for his first 5k race!!

What am I made out of?:

These are 16 oz. size hand-poured, uniquely swirled 100% soy wax candles with 100% cotton wicks and USA-made jars, with a burn time of approximately 70 hours. We triple-scent our candles with phthalate-free fragrances!

BURNING INSTRUCTIONS
Don't trim the wick before lighting the first time! To get a uniform melt pool and to prevent tunneling, we recommend burning the candle for 30 to 60 minutes before extinguishing. Trim the wick at every re-light. Keep the candle free of any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire-resistant surface. Don't burn the candle for more than four hours at a time. Keep away from children and animals.
